Public Vet offers accessible, affordable veterinary care to anyone in need while fostering compassion, empathy, and professionalism within the veterinary field. Veterinarian
Aria Armendariz Peavy D.V.M.
Dr. Aria earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and is licensed to practice in multiple states, including Indiana, California, Hawaii, and Tennessee. With a commitment to community-based veterinary services, Dr. Aria brings expertise and compassion to every patient she treats.

Tess Peavy D.V.M.
Dr. Tess Peavy is the founder and director of Public Vet, a nonprofit dedicated to increasing access to veterinary care. A graduate of Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, she is licensed to practice in Indiana, California, and Ohio. Before launching Public Vet in 2016, Dr. Peavy founded Neuter Scooter, a pioneering mobile spay/neuter program that operated in Indiana from 1999 to 2015. With decades of experience in community-based veterinary services, she remains committed to improving animal welfare through accessible, high-quality care.

Gabriel Armendariz Peavy D.V.M.
Dr. Gabriel earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and is licensed to practice in Indiana, California, and Ohio. Dr. Gabriel is passionate about expanding veterinary services to underserved communities and ensuring that every animal receives the care they deserve.

What Does Public Vet Do?
We Invest in Health
Our goal is to identify communities that are at risk, and provide/improve the quality of life of the animals. Public Veterinary Service uses veterinary care as an incentive to network and educate each community we work in. We work directly with animal control officers and humane societies to identify at-risk communities and implement programs that promote animal health and wellbeing.

Our organization seeks to address any factors that adversely affect health. We organize veterinary, epidemiological & educational resources tailored to the communities needs. Public Veterinary Service invites everyone to invest in health by supporting our mission to improve the quality of life for animals and pets in every community.
The Fix is IN!
The Fix is IN! is a unique partnership between Pet Friendly Services of Indiana and Public Vet. Pet Friendly Services assists us with providing access to much-needed low-cost spay and neuter surgeries for cats, with a focus on rural counties that need help getting their cats fixed.
